Well, I don't know about you but this has been the most stressful week!!!!! I have been wanting to spend some time at home for awhile - boy, watch what you wish for! I've been home since Monday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. and it's not been fun. Of course, the fact that I've had no lights, heat, cooked food, shower (with warm water), computer and, last but not least, TV would be some of why it's not been fun. I got electricity back last night and then lost it again today but it's back now and I have my fingers crossed. Of course, I still can't get my car out of the driveway. I live at the bottom of a hill and I can't tell you how many times over the last 16 years I've gone down it backwards.
But most of all I've missed you guys! I can't wait to get back to Curves and hear all the stories that I'm sure we are all going to have after the Storm of the Century!

WELCOME 2009
I love the Christmas Holidays but I'm ready to get back on track with a schedule and just life in general.
The emphasis at Curves this year is going to be GOALS!!!! Setting them, resetting them, changing them and reaching them! I'm particularly excited for myself. I've gotten very off track due to all the major changes in my life this year but it's a new year, new day and new chance to reach my goals. I think that the exciting energy at Curves can help all of us strive to reach our goals no matter how small or large.
As we are weighing and measuring this year we will be setting goals, monitoring those goals and celebrating when we reach them! Lets all help each other and I know we can be successful!!!!!

We've got Thanksgiving down, here's a recipe for the day after!
I'm new at this but my daughter tells me I need to have a blog so I'm going to give it a try. My first attempt will be a left over turkey recipe!

Turkey Primavera
Prep Time 10 minutes Cook Time: 20 minutes
1 can Campbell's Healthy Request condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 bag (16 ozs) frozen vegetable combination (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots)
2 cups cubed cooked turkey or chicken
4 cups hot cooked spaghetti (about 8 ozs uncooked), cooked without salt
1. In medium saucepan mix soup, milk, cheese, garlic powder and vegetables. Over medium
heat, heat to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook 10 minutes or until vegetables are
tender-crisp, stirring occasionally.
2. Add turkey and heat through. Serve over spaghetti. Serves 4
ENJOY!
Nutritional Values per Serving: Calories 415, Total Fat 9g, Saturated Fat 3 g, Cholesterol 58 mg,
Sodium 466 mg, total Carbohydrate 54g, Protein 30 g
I fix this all the time and really like it. I leave out carrots because I don't really care for carrots in dishes. I also use canned chicken to make it faster and easier. I'm all for easy. Try it and leave a comment about what you think! We would all love to know!
I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving holiday!!!!
